What we learned from Jerry/Larry/Terry/Garry’s AMA.

On what he took home from the set: “Aubrey Plaza” (in reference to the make out session they had on Late Night).”

On who is the funniest person on set: “Everybody is fuNny but Chris Pratt is killer. He could break us up easily. He never did the same thing twice. I think he’s a bit of a comic genius.”

On working on Friends: “I loved doing an episode of Friends. What I realized was that after all those years they really were friends. I’ve worked a lot of shows where by the end the cast can barely tolerate each other. It was a gift on Parks that we all loved each other and I think they definitely had that on Friends too. A very warm and comfortable set.”

On Harris Wittels who recently passed away: “My first memory of Harris was when I was reading Sarah Silverman’s book. There was a picture of a penis…it was Harris’s. I remember thinking that anyone who would be that bold to allow that is someone I could hang with. Harris was always funny but more importantly…he was always kind. He is and will be forever missed.”

On his character becoming the mayor: “I couldn’t have been happier with Garry becoming the mayor…not just temporarily but for the rest of his life. Such an honor for the guy who was the schlameel and schlamazel of his office for 30 years.”

On his favourite moment on Parks: “I loved doing the Fart Attack. I felt that the only way to make it funny was to play it very real. With craziness going on around me I knew that it would be the best way to handle it. The problem was trying to keep it together when you have Aziz asking if I ate farts for lunch. lol.”

TV Couples on Valentine’s Day

Alone this Valentine’s Day? Don’t worry, I’m listing my top TV couples, so you can spend the day watching their romance on screen instead of having one yourself.

Ross and Rachel, Friends (1994-2004) – Ross and Rachel’s relationship has become such a part of pop culture, that other shows look at their characters relationships, and how much they want to “Ross and Rachel it”. In a sense, how far can we drag this out before they get together. Because that’s what David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston’s characters were all about. Everyone could see from the start that they were meant to be, and I think everyone could relate to Ross being “friend-zoned”. After ten years of ons and offs, they finally got together for good, because as Phoebe put it, ‘she’s his lobster”.

2K15: What I’m Looking Forward To In The Pop Culture World

Films

The Force Awakens (December)
The hype for this film is massive. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the amount of press and speculation about a film in my life time. The first thought I had when another trilogy was announced was, if this goes bad, it’s gonna be really bad. As in, Star Wars fans take things super seriously, and something tiny could ruin the film for them. But so far, everyone has been super positive about it, which is a good sign.

Age of Ultron (July)
The first Avengers film took me by surprise. At the time I hadn’t seen any of the five Marvel films that had proceeded it, but I absolutely loved it. And as most sequels go, this one will be bigger and better. On the flip side, some sequels are terrible, but that won’t be the case with this one. With the incredible Joss Whedon in charge we have nothing to worry about. Plus he has been taking inspiration from The Empire Strikes back, only the greatest sequel of all time.

Music

Songs of Experience (Probably not even 2015, more like 2018, because this is U2, right?)
The most hated album of the year was one of my favourites, and ever since Bono mentioned a follow up, I’ve been wanted more from U2.

untitled 7th Kanye album (some time soon)
All through out 2014, there was meant to be a new Kanye West album. We got to end of the year and we had nothing. Now in 2015, it’s looking like a full album will be coming sooner rather than latter, now that a new single “Only One” with Paul McCartney has been released.

TV

Game Of Thrones (April)
The worlds most downloaded show is back again. While I like shows with shorter seasons like Thrones (10 episodes a season), the ten month gap is painful. Luckily the wait is close to over.

Parks & Recreation (January)
NBC’s last decent comedy is nearly over, and they will be missed by many. Blink and you might miss the final season as it will be all over by the end of Febuary. Then all we will have is our memories Lil Sebastian (RIP Lil Sebastian).
