Will Chrissie Swan go from the jungle to a seat on The Project? Anything is possible after she was dropped from the KISS Network (formerly Mix Network), even when her breakfast show with Jane Hall was doing incredibly well up against Nova and Fox FM. With Carrie Bickmore’s due date getting closer, Ten will need somebody to take over the role.
Swan, who first rose to fame at Network Ten over a decade ago on Big Brother, is currently one of the celeb’s that have been flown to South Africa for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, and with her evident popularity on social media over the first two nights, it looks like she may make it to the end, and win the whole thing.
Six weeks on our screens could give Swan a leg up on other competitors for the job. Sydney Confidential are reporting that other choices are Gorgi Coughlan, Fifi Box, and Natasha Belling. All three have been on The Project, but Gorgi is a regular fill in, which would make it easy for her to slip into the role. What ever happens, Carrie will be missed while she is away (if you want to hear about why I think Carrie is amazing click right here), and I’m sure no matter who steps in, The Project will be the same funny, entertaining, and informative program that it has been for the last five years.
