The Life and Times of Kanye West

While we never go to long without hearing from the Chicago born rapper, there has been a influx of news pieces on Kanye West after his opinions on who should of won Album of the Year at the Grammys. Here’s what he’s been saying in the last week:

Kanye and Taylor Swift, who are now apparently pals and have put the past behind them, are planning to record together, and it looks like Taylor was the one to reach out to him. Here’s what he said in a interview with Ryan Seacrest: “Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate, I don’t have an elitism of music because of like how many Grammys or you know, the amount of ratings you get on an album. I that think everyone loves music whether they love hip-hop, alternative, country, and if I could be involved in giving people any type of energy, advice in the studio, whether you’re Beyonce, whether you’re Taylor Swift, whether you’re Jay Z, whether you’re Beck, whoever, and they can be reciprocal with that, I’d like to be involved with that.”

In that same interview we also leant that he blames the voices inside his head for nearly interrupting Beck’s acceptance speech. “What I really wanted to do was joke around with what had happened before, but I didn’t want to take away from Beck’s moment or the time he had to talk…so I just walked back down. It was kind of a joke, like the Grammys themselves.” He also compared losing at the Grammy’s for him was like his wife Kim getting a divorce to her second husband.

This week his daughter was highlighted on social media for crying at his fashion event. While one would think it might be due to all the bright lights, or having to sit in the same spot for a long period of time, or just for know reason at all, because she is a toddler, right? Nope, it was because she could tell people were being mean to Kanye. “Maybe she was just scared for her daddy. She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place.” That’s right everyone. North West, eighteen months old. Peace activist.

That’s it for now, but this is Kanye West, so check back in a few weeks, and no doubt there will be more to report on.
